Various muscles in the upper body work together during a push-up.
The main muscles targeted are: pectoralis major, deltoids, triceps brachii, serratus anterior, abdominal muscles and the coracobrachialis.
The p. major is the prime mover.
pushups are best.
You need to try this for yourself. Focus on where you feel the best muscle activation. I found that with close-grip pushups, I was more targeting the triceps. I feel that wide pushups are better for chest development. Mind-muscle connection and slow, controlled reps are vital.
The most important muscle in your body is your heart. Everyone should know that.
diaphram
the diaphragm is the muscle(s) that are most important muscle used in inspiration (inhalation)?
Yes push-ups help build up muscle and burn calories.
Your heart is by far the most important muscle in your body without it none of the others would work.
Name of the muscle is Trapezius.
Diaphragm
well I've been lifting and my friend pushups and well i totally beat him as far as muscels. PS depends what your lifting and for how long
It is not exactly necessary, but if your goal is to build muscle, weight training is the best and "quickest" way to do so. On the other hand, you can build muscle with just calisthenics. Instead of banging out those pushups as fast as you can to get the most reps, lower the repetition count with slow, controlled movements, which really does build muscle. When even those become easy, try different variations, such as archer pushups, one-handed pushups, and so on. Same with pullups. For legs, though, hill sprints work legs quite fine, but adding weight seems almost necessary to build serious muscle. Other factors are involved as well. Sleeping well and having a sufficient calorie intake are both important aspects. The right supplementation can help as well. You might want to check the link in my bio to learn more.
The heart is the most important muscle because it has to pump blood constantly thru out the body
