Your choice. GM does not specify which to use so it is up to you. Just make sure to use the recommended weight.
Synthetic. It is synthesized in a lab for optimal performance in an engine. Blended is only partially synthetic, therefore not ideal.
Nothing happens, they just mix. You can buy "blended" motor oil.
It is not recommended to use blended oils on a 2000 Gas EZGO Golf Cart. The recommended oil to useÊis regular 10W-30 oil.
Blended with what?? With regular diesel; YES
automatic transmission fluid, preforably a synthetic or synthetic blended fluid.
Yes
No, blending of different color varietals is not recommended.
No. Just as damaging.
Ford uses the Motorcraft blended oil (part synthetic).
No it's not. It is produced using the hair from Angora goats. That can then be blended with other material such as cotton or silk to produce clothing or upholstery fabric.
Yes, GM has now made that standard to meet the minimum requirements for blended oils. This is the reason they have created DEXOS.
If you have a 1.8T or 2.0T passat, you should ONLY use fully synthetic oil. The turbo is designed for very tight tolerances and must be constantly lubricated to avoid premature failure. Synthetic oil resists thermal breakdown occurring in the extremely hot engine environment better than regular or blended oils. It will cost you about double the price of a regular oil change, but a new turbo can cost you up to $4K installed by your local dealer. Been there....done that.
