Boxing is a very good aerobic exercise. It is equivalent to about a mile of running for every 15 minutes of boxing with a heart rate level around 70%
Yes! soccer is a vigorous activity, its not easy to play a full 90 minute match. It takes time and dedication to actually play good for that amount of time.
Actually, every exercise is at least slightly aerobic or slightly anaerobic. Aerobic exercise is exercise with oxygen, in other words, exercise that gets you breathing hard by utilizing your cardiovascular system. Running, jogging, swimming, and walking are examples of aerobic exercise. Anaerobic exercise is exercise without oxygen, in other words, exercise that does not get you breathing hard. Doing a single squat or bench press are examples of anaerobic exercise. Also, many anaerobic exercises can be made aerobic simply by doing more of them, for example, doing 50 bench presses or squats without pausing. ----
It's good because you don't swing with your arms. You squat down in ready position and the you "pop" up. And you dive, and you jump to spike. It's VERY good aerobic exercise. Exercise in general.
The oxidative and substrate phosphorylation in cellular repiration are both aerobic (meaning they use oxygen to produce energy)
Swimming is the main aerobic exercise done in water. Many people disagree with swimming as a form of fitness improving/fat burning exercise, when the truth is it is very effective. Exercise intensity is measured through oxygen consumption, and this is a requirement in swimming. Waterpolo is another sport which requires high fitness, however this is broken down into muscular fitness when treading water and rapidly stretching for the ball, and aerobic fitness for swimming into spaces or towards the ball.
Aerobic gymnastics (aka Sport Aerobics) looks somewhat similar to a floor exercise, but "is the ability to perform continuously complex and high-intensity movement patterns to music...with a high degree of perfectly executed elements of difficulty." It can be performed solo or with more than one athlete. Some movements that would be used in other gymnastics are banned - like handsprings and acrobatic flips. See Related Links.

The floor exercise shows how they can combine their stunts with their artistic dance. The gymnasts have to find a way to combine power with being graceful. Its not just stunts which can throw some gymnasts. It mainly adds more than just tumbling to the sport.
Long distance running is an aerobic sport, meaning that it requires the processing and use of oxygen by the cardiovascular system.
Running. You are your equipment, and you can do this sport almost anywhere. Walking is also cheap, but a less popular sport. I would like to add that walking is probably the most beneficial exercise sport there is. Easy on the joints and muscles and very aerobic without being burdensome on the respiratory and cardiac systems.
