Glycolisis, of course.

When skeletal muscles are working flat out not enough oxygen is being delivered to the ETC, so the mitochodria slows, or shuts down and all that produces ATP then is the glycolytic cycle.

What is the functional relationship between lysosomes and mitochondria?

Lysosomes and mitochondria have distinct functions in a cell, but they may indirectly interact with each other. Lysosomes primarily function in intracellular digestion and waste removal, breaking down cellular waste and debris. In contrast, mitochondria are responsible for energy production through cellular respiration. While there may not be a direct functional relationship between the two organelles, lysosomes can play a role in removing damaged or dysfunctional mitochondria through a process called autophagy.

What will damage in mitochondrial DNA have the most effect on?

Damage in mitochondrial DNA will have the most effect on cellular respiration. This is due to the fact that the surface area will be damaged.

What is a result of damage to the mitochondria in a plant?

When the mitochondria in a plant is damaged the plant will not be able to produce energy.

Would mitochondria have the greatest effect on the water balance in the cell if damaged?

yes

Which organelle is responsible for removal of other damaged organelles and cellular debris?

Lysosome

Why is malate dehydrogenase not the best marker for mitochondria?

Because damaged mitochondria will not exhibit activity. Succinate dehydrogenase is the best option. Refer pg 32 subcellular fractionation- a practical approach.

forminga cellular cord that directs axonal regrowth.

What would happen if a mitochondria was destroyed?

They frequently are. If the attack succeeds often enough, you will get sick and/or die.

Why do multi-cellular organisms need cell division?

They need to reproduce, increase in size. Also need to repair damaged cells

How do the structures in an animal cell work?

They are all powered by mitochondria, which is a structure in an animal cell that produces energy for all the structures of the cell. The mitochondria is supplied with supplies supplied from the body. :)
