Take the R train (of the N-R-Q, the yellow line) from Forest Hills-71st Avenue, 67th Avenue, 63 Drive-Rego Park, or Woodhaven Boulevard, to Court Street in Brooklyn.
You'll get off the train at the corner of Clinton and Montague Streets. Walk half a block east on Montague Street to Cadman Plaza West. Walk north on Cadman Plaza West to Clark Street, then turn right at Clark Street and walk straight across the park to 225 Cadman Plaza East.
The R does not run from 11 PM to 5:30 AM, but since I doubt you'll be going to court in the middle of the night, this shouldn't be a problem. But, if you are traveling between 11 PM and 5:30 AM, you can take the E. Late nights, when the Rand M are not running, the E stops at their stations instead.
Late nights you can get the E instead of the R or M at Forest Hills-71st Avenue, 67th Avenue, 63 Drive-Rego Park, or Woodhaven Boulevard.
Take the E to 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal, and transfer there to the Downtown A or C to High Street.
You'll get off the train at Cadman Plaza East, which forms the eastern border of Brooklyn War Memorial Park. Walk south on Cadman Plaza East to 225.

Take the Downtown 4 or 5 trains (of the 4-5-6, the dark green line) from 42nd Street-Grand Central Station to Borough Hall.
The 4 or 5 to Borough Hall will drop you off on Joralemon Street, between Court and Adams Streets. Walk half a block west to Court Street, turn right, and walk north on Court Street. Court Street becomes Cadman Plaza West just a block or two north of Joralemon Street. Either walk up Cadman Plaza West to 225, or, turn right at Clark Street and walk straight east across the park to 225 Cadman Plaza East.
