The address 1827 Westchester Avenue is outside of New York City. It's in White Plains, New York, which is in Westchester County.

The New York City subway system does not go to Westchester. You will need to take MetroNorth Railroad.

In Manhattan, MetroNorth trains stop at Grand Central Station and at East 125th Street. You can transfer to the MetroNorth stations in Manhattan from the 4-5-6 subway line (the dark green line).

All three of these trains (the 4, the 5 and the 6) stop at both 42nd Street (Grand Central Station) and East 125th Street. But the 4 and the 5 are express trains, while the 6 is local. So, if possible, it is preferable to take the 4 or the 5, as your trip will be much faster that way.

If you're coming from Bay Ridge, you can transfer to the 4 or the 5 from the R train at Atlantic Avenue-Pacific Street or Borough Hall-Court Street. See the second Related Link for a complete New York City subway map.

You can buy your tickets at the MetroNorth stations, OR you can purchase them online ahead of time. You can also purchase your tickets after you've boarded the train, but they will cost a few dollars more that way.

To get to White Plains, New York on MetroNorth, you must take the Harlem Line. See the first Related Link below for the MetroNorth home page. You need to click on the icon on the RIGHT (the one that says "Click for lines EAST of Hudson - Harlem, Hudson, New Haven").

As your "From" station, select either Grand Central Station or Harlem-125th Street. As your "To" station, select White Plains. Then select the date you are traveling.

Once you've arrived at the White Plains MetroNorth station, you will need to take a taxi to 1827 Westchester Avenue. It is a short trip; maybe 10 minutes by car.

Here are some phone numbers of taxi services. I called each of them and asked if they would take someone from the White Plains MetroNorth station to 1827 Westchester Avenue. They all said yes.

White Plains Taxi Co.: 914-949-0054

Westchester Taxi Corp: 914-328-9700

United Taxi Co: 914-683-3886

The only train on the New York City subway system that runs through there is the 6 train (of the 4-5-6, the dark green line).
