Also, the US fought the Mexican War (1846-48) against Mexico, the American Civil War (1861-65) against the Confederacy, and the Spanish-American War (1898) against Spain. There were also smaller wars against natives, pirates, and others in the 1800s.

There were a bunch of wars. There was The War of 1812, the Mexican American War, the Civil War, the Spanish American War, and numerous conflicts with the Native Americans known as the Indian Wars .
