the switch is on the left hand side of the transmission about half way back of the transmission. it has two wires that plug into it.

The safety switch is located on the transmission in the back of the caron the drivers side. The shifter cable goes to it along with some wires.
I am no expert, but I recently found what I think is the back up light switch for my 85 vanagon w/ manual transmission. I didn't have another to replace it with and test it, however it is relatively easy to get to and try. Looking from the rear, on the left hand front of the transmission you'll find two wires that lead to a two pronged mechanical pressure switch. Unscrew it from the transmission. Swap the wires and install the replacement.
neutral safety switch (located on transmission) is no longer working.cost for the part will very from 13.00 to 50.00 ,unplug wires to switch and wrench out the old switch reverse that for the new one.

do you mean from a switch? plates dont have wires you can cut the wires or if it is stabbed in the back there is a slot you can insert something to loosen it TURN OFF POWER
The back up light switch on the 1994 Ford Aerostar is located on the side of the transmission. To remove it the wires must first be unplugged. Next the all screws must be removed.

The heater switch can be replaced on a Chevrolet Corsica by removing the three wires from the back of the switch. Put the wires onto the new switch and return it to its slot.
On top of the shift housing on the very top of the trans. Has 2 wires into it 7/8 wrench to remove
