What is a tidal budge?

A Tidal Bulge is a high tide. It is a bulge of water on the side of the earth under the moon, and it is caused by the moon's gravity attracting the water. There is a similar bulge on the opposite side of the earth, away from the moon, to counterbalance the moon bulge. The areas between the two bulges experience low tide.

What happens when the amount of drag becomes larger than the amount of thrust?

This state is known as terminal velocity. In it's current shape, an object as described cannot travel any faster. The force of gravity is constant where as the force of air resistance increases with velocity so it takes time for an object to reach its terminal velocity.

How different colors are discovers what colors are in each ink using chromatography?

The different substances present in the ink have different Rf values (Rf value is the ratio of the distance the dissolved material traveled to distance the solvent traveled) the different substances each have a unique or nearly unique Rf value. This occurs because each material's chemical structure has a different solubility in the solvent, used to develop the chromatography plate,. This means that some compounds easily dissolve and are carried by the solvent while others are more attracted to the chromatgraphy plate and don't budge as easily. Hope this helped. sincerely, a chem major

What are the safety precautions and techniques when inserting a glass tubing in a rubber stopper?

never attempt to insert glass tubing that has a jagged end, all glass tubing should be fire polished before its inserted into a rubber stopper. Use water or glycerin as a lubricant at the end of the glass tubing before inserting it into the rubber stopper. ask teacher for proper lubricant. Protect hands and fingers by wearing leather gloves or placing a folded cloth between your hands and the tubing. hold it as close as possible to the part it is inserted to the rubber stopper. always point the tubing away from the palm of your hand that holds the stopper. use a twisting motion and push the tubing into the stopper. At the end of the experiment put on leather gloves or place the folded cloth between your hands and the tubing and remover the stoppers from the tubing to keep them from sticking to the glass. if it wont budge, use lubricant.

Can descending sympathetic tracts be found in medulla?

Yes,they can be found that is the first order neurons .Hence leisions in the lateral medulla produce Horners syndrome. The pupil is innervated by sympathetic and parasympathetic fibers. Pupillary dilation is mediated by a three- neuron sympathetic pathway that originates in the hypothalamus. The first order (central) neuron descends caudally from the hypothalamus to the first synapse in the cervical spinal cord (C8-T2 level-also called the ciliospinal center of Budge). The descending sympathetic tract is in close proximity to other tracts and nuclei in the brainstem. The second order (preganglionic) neuron destined for the head and neck exits the spinal cord and travels in the cervical sympathetic chain through the brachial plexus, over the pulmonary apex and synapses in the superior cervical ganglion. The superior cervical ganglion is located near the angle of the mandible and the bifurcation of the common carotid artery. The third order (postganglionic) neuron for the orbit enters the cranium within the adventitia of the internal carotid artery into the cavernous sinus. Here the oculosympathetic fibers exit the internal carotid artery in close proximity to the trigeminal ganglion and the sixth cranial nerve and join the 1st division of the trigeminal nerve to enter the orbit. The fibers (long ciliary nerve) innervate the dilator muscles of the iris and the Müller's muscle in the upper and lower lid. The vasomotor and sudomotor fibers to the face exit the superior cervical ganglion and ascend in the external carotid artery. Pupillary constriction is produced by parasympathetic (cholinergic) fibers that travel with the third cranial (oculomotor) nerve
