This is caused by something burning in your combustion chamber that shouldn't! Usually it's either water or a mix of 50/50 depends what you are running! You need to do a compression test and check seals
about 120ish!!
The engine is a 1.7 Liter 127 H.P. inline 4 cylinder.
When you go to buy a battery they can tell you the correct size.
it comes with a dohc 1.6L (b-series) or a sohc 1.6L(d-series) you can find out by looking at the motor.
When you are driving up a steep upgrade/mountain like I did this weekend going to Brasstown Bald Mountain, GA in a 2003 Honda Civix EX Coupe.
Looking into the hood, it will be on the left side in the middle. Just above the coolant. It should be a yellow dipstick
Disconnect bat. Raise front end, follow positive cable to the end-that is the starter. Remove cable & wires. Remove bolts going into block. Be careful when you pull the last one-they are heavy. Reverse to install. You may/may not have to add solenoid on top. Some starters do not come with it. If not put the old one on new starter.
well when you take the cap off your gunna see a (hexagonal,octagonal,decagonal) rod in the center off it that spins off the cam shaft, wich keeps the ignition sparks in order, and your going to see"points" that touch everytime the rod revolves wich sparks and send that spark from the wires you see stickin out the cap, straight to the plug, and i don't know why u asked this question about a Honda civix lx, because they don't use distributors, they use starting coils......and i think its sad that im 17 and a better mechanic then most.. if not all people my age
