Rutherford
Actually, the x-ray was invented by Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen, and it was more of a discovery than anything. He realized that an image from his cathode ray generator projected further than possible. He then studied and did various tests to follow and created the first x-ray machine.
The scientist that developed the iconic atom model that depicts a nucleus surrounded by electrons was Ernest Rutherford. Rutherford developed the model in 1911 after displaying some experiments that showed that the J.J.Thomson model was incorrect. Rutherford's experiment showed that an atom is a small but heavy central particle and is surrounded by a cloud of electrons. This was the opposite of what Thomson's model proposed.
In 1911, the scientist Ernest Rutherford directed a beam of alpha particles (each one equivalent to a helium nucleus, with 2 protons and 2 neutrons) at a thin sheet of gold foil - many of the alpha particles (with a charge of +2) were deflected straight back, repelled by the positively charged atomic nuclei within the gold foil. This provided experimental evidence for the existence of the nucleus for the first time.

Wilhelm Wien won The Nobel Prize in Physics in 1911.
Marie Curie was a female scientist who won two Nobel Prizes. She won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903 and the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1911 for her groundbreaking research on radioactivity. She remains the only person to have won Nobel Prizes in two different scientific disciplines.
Allvar Gullstrand won The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1911.
Count Maurice (Mooris) Polidore Marie Bernhard Maeterlinck won The Nobel Prize in Literature in 1911.
The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 1911 was awarded to Allvar Gullstrand for his work on the dioptrics of the eye.

The Nobel Prize in Physics 1911 was awarded to Wilhelm Wien for his discoveries regarding the laws governing the radiation of heat.
Gabriela Mistral (Nobel Prize in Literature; 1945)
Marie Curie, referred to as "madam query," won the Nobel Prize twice. She won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903 and the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1911.
The Nobel Peace Prize 1911 was awarded jointly to Tobias Michael Carel Asser and Alfred Hermann Fried
She received her Nobel Prizes for physics (1903) and chemistry (1911).
