Contrary to internet myths, President Obama has used about the same number of "czars" as President Bush did. Every president uses experts, and Mr. Obama is no exception. One example in the Obama administration is Steve Rattner, who signed on as the "car czar" due to his experience with finance (especially with bank loans to corporations); Rattner helped to structure and then supervise the president's rescue of the auto industry.
