Major Allies: United States, France and Russia. These 3 and UK were the four major nations who determined the direction of the war and how peace would be resolved in the conquered nations after the war.
Note: The government of France was basically in exile for a few years. Minor Allies: Other countries that supplied troops for combat.

The minor Allies of the Allied Forces would be considered those who did not fight in the war but supported it in word and principal. The list is very long so I am giving you a web site on the related link below that has the entire list and when they became allies. Some help with financing the war or providing supplies. We can be grateful to them because it was not an easy thing to go after evil fascist countries that were committing genocide and cruelly oppressing other people groups.

First off they promised more then two things, but two things off the top of my head would be: first off protection, Rome protected it's allies, often to nail and teeth if needed.
