According to the major Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam), God created the earth.
According to some early, but now defunct, Christian sects, the Demiurge created the world. The Demiurge was seen as a God inferior to the Supreme God, and often as an evil God.

According to Hinduism, Brahma created the world.
