John F. Kennedy ran for president starting on January 1960 when he formally announced his candidacy for President. He was elected on Tuesday, November 8th, 1960 as the 44th president and sworn into office on Friday, January 20th, 1960. He died in office from an assassin's bullet on November 22nd, 1963, in Dallas, Texas.
