Persians worshiped fire as god. then once Christianity and Islam came they worshiped fire before god.
now for the most part it is god, but there are some small tribes that still worship fire. In Persian it is pronounced "Aag" similar to the Hindu rituals for Ganga.
They built massive celestial temples to worship in.
after monotheistic religions came, those temples were deemed demonic worship as they practiced sadism and anal sex.
