In the 1700's in the 13 American colonies, patriots who wanted freedom from King George's Great Britain held a good deal of hate towards the king. Loyalists, however, wanted to remain English colonies and many loved their king.
The loyalists hated the patriots because the patriots were always tarring and feathering them.
patriots=hated the king, wanted freedom neutralists =didn't care loyalists= loyal to the king 0>0 sorry if that didn't help....
they didn't like each other because of their conflicting views. the patriots wanted to break away from the king and the loyalists wanted to stay with the king.
Loyalists felt that they had to pay them, while patriots hated the taxes because they felt they should not pay them.
Fighting in the South during the American Revolution was especially vicious because of the large concentration of Loyalists there. They aligned with the Cherokee Indians who hated the Patriots for encroaching on their land. They were known for their savage fighting and brutality.
France entered the American Revolution on the side of the Patriots because they hated Great Britian.
The Loyalists who even knew about the Sons of Liberty probably hated them, because they often went around abusing Loyalists.
They were concerned about themselves and what was happening to fellow loyalists-being tarred and featthered by Patriots who hated tax collectors. They feared their safety and security because of the "Sons of Violence' acting in a rebellious manner which was not proper or fitting to them.
Patriots
By the end of the Revolutionary War the loyalists many had to return to England. They were hated and not welcome by most of the colonist.
King George the 3rd was a British king. People known as "Loyalists" were loyal to the king. Others were called "Patriots" those were the people that hated the king (because of the stamp act, ask to find about the stamp act!).
they hated them thats why they were called the intolerable acts the name was given to them by the patriots
