Who is David Speechly?

Dr David Speechly is a life strategist focused on nutritional physiology, physical performance and weight management and with a mission to improve the human condition. After receiving a BSc in physiology (1989), at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. Dr Speechly's postgraduate degrees were a BSc (Honors) in Exercise Science (1991) at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and both MSc in physiology (1995) and PhD in Medicine (2000) degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. Dr Speechly was awarded his MBA at the Brookes School of Business, Oxford, United Kingdom. With a unique background combining his doctoral thesis in obesity, two postgraduate degrees in exercise science with hands-on experience in weight management and managing obesity, coupled with over 10 years in the biotechnology of genetics (senior management positions with NYSE and Nasdaq-listed companies from 2001-2011) and human behaviour, Dr Speechly is not only ideally positioned to manage weight management issues and lifestyle modification, he also has the experience to ensure commercial success of this endeavor. Dr Speechly is a competitive cyclist racing for the Wells Fargo Racing Team in Northern California, and he is a certified spinning instructor teaching numerous classes at Crunch in Blackhawk, CA.

Dr Speechly is married to Toni and they have a daughter (Hannah, aged 10) and a son (Harry, aged 7), and the family lives in Danville, CA.
