It is usually the responsibility of the homeowner if a person pulls into a driveway and runs over a bicycle. The homeowner's insurance might also pay for this accident. It might be the driver's fault if the bicycle was not in the driveway at the time or the driver was drinking.
You are!
When entering or crossing a road, street, or highway from a private road, alley, building, or driveway after stopping prior to the sidewalk, you shall yield the right-of-way to all approaching vehicles and pedestrians.
I was caught coasting down the sidewalk on my bicycle.
a bicycle moving on a sidewalk.... i think
kinetic
This depends entirely on the nation, state/province, municipality, etc one resides in. In my home town, it's only illegal to operate a bicycle on a sidewalk "in a business district." While this definition remains unclear, I've heard it described as "if you see parking meters--get off the sidewalk!" Regardless of law, it is imperative to operate a bicycle in the manner that promotes your and others' safety. Often, that means the roadway; occasionally, that means the sidewalk.
Usually it's illegal for all but small kids on slow bikes to ride on the sidewalk, but there can be local differences. You have to check what's applicable for your city
This depends on where you live. In most states it is illegal to ride your bike on the side walk, you are supposed to be in the bike lane. But all truth being told with insurance companies it is the drivers fault for failing to notice the person on the side walk.
kinetic because it is using force. it would be potential if it was at the top of a hill.
in orange county, florida, it is alright as long as you follow safety guidelines, pulled from the interent from some official orange county law pamphlet.
no, it is not, if ure riding on the street you have to obey the traffic laws, if ure riding on the sidewalk you must obey the pedestrian traffic laws.
If you fall and hit your head on the sidewalk, a helmet will keep you from busting your head open. If you fall of a bike and land on your head, a helmet will protect you head.
it is illegal because many people can get seriously hurt and in one case in 1990 there was a person that died from laying down on the sidewalk. He was hit by a bicycle. Sounds stupid I know trust me but sidewalks are a danger so next time your thinking about laying down on a sidewalk. Your gonna die!!
