whle Europe has good technology, its armies are not that extensive. also, the recession has led to massive cuts in the European militaries. Asia on the other hand was not hit badly by the recession, and in fact was showing positive growth during the same period. this, coupled with the fact that some of the largest armies in the world are in Asia, swing it for the East. also, Nations such as China (independantly) and India/Russia (together) are building advanced weapons systems such as 5th generation fighters to rival those posessed by europe. so in the end, asia wins because they have a stronger economic base, much stronger militaries and rapidly developing modern weapons and defense systems. as the saying goes: 'never march your land armies to China'. there is a reason.
