Overall a great answer, I just wanted to clarify a couple of things:
- The Cyclopes were the personifications of Thunder and Lightening. Their names (Brontes - Thunder, Steropes - Lightning, Arges - Brightness) show that. One of these giants is a Cyclops (it means "circle eye"). The plural is Cyclopes.
- The war between the gods and Titans was called the Titanomachy
- To throw something is to HURTLE it.
- Zeus wasn't jealous of the power of the Lightning Bolts, he jealously guarded the power. There is a big difference. To say he was jealous implies that he wanted something he could not have. To jealously guard is to keep something close to the extent no one else can see or have it.
I'm not trolling. I'm helping, so that people that read this answer have correct information.

There is actually no god of light because Zeus is god of all the sky and storms and such, so, therefore, he is the god of lightning also.
Zeus was very jealous of his power of lightening (it was given to him by the cyclop forgers faction that deserted the Titans and came over to the Olympians in the Titanomanchy. Such is also the origin of Poseidon's trident and Hades's Helm of Darkness) and kept it from any other god or person. Although there is one incident in which he did allow Athena to hurtle one.
There is no God of electricity. Zeus is the only God that comes close. He is king of the Gods, and ruler of Mount Olympus. He is the god of the sky, thunder and lightning, Law and Order, and fate.
Zeus was. He was also king of the gods and goddesses.
