Scotland does not have a President. Scotland is a parliamentary democracy with a monarch as head of state; Elizabeth 1, Queen of Scots.

Scotland is in a peculiar position. It is an ancient nation, a country recognised round the world, but not an independent state. Together with its neighbours England, Wales, and Northern Ireland it forms the 'United Kingdom.'

The Scottish Queen is also head of state in England where she is known as Elizabeth 11.
