This answer depends on your definition of poor.
Is it a person with no money? Millions of people live in extreme poverty around the world.
Although many magazines publish lists of the world's richest people, none of them publish a list of the world's poorest people. Presumably, because it is almost impossible to know because "poor" can be a subjective thing.
While some people who live in developed countries might be millions in debt, they are still "rich" when it comes to quality of life, health, and access to education and housing. Then again, some people who live in underdeveloped countries might get pennies every day for a wage, but are lead a "rich" life centered around family and not materialistic things.

Identifying the absolute poorest person in the world is difficult, given that poverty is widespread and multifaceted. However, based on income, individuals living in extreme poverty in developing countries, such as those earning less than $1.90 per day, could be considered among the world's poorest.
