a alternator is made from steel
siemens
by removing the old one first
did you try removing the alternator first? no i didn't try to remove the alternator first
the battery
its the alternator if the car is running with a battery light on. but check fuses first
Remove the power steering belt first then the alternator belt will go on.
Usually when the battery light comes on its the Alternator, or a bad wire from Alternator to battery, but id check Alternator first.
there should be two major bolts to the alternator one to losse'n up the belts and the other to release the alternator to the mount. loosen the belts first and then remove the belts.. after this it should be easy to replace the alternator
The reason why it won't start is because its your alternator...... My uncles chev truck made the same kinda sound when his alternator went....
Well, if the alternator is on any type of vehicle that has been made within the last 100 years, it will be the 100 amp alternator. There is no such thing as a 1900 amp alternator for a car. The highest I have seen is about 150 amps, and that is a heavy-duty truck alternator.
Sure, if the bolts come out the alternator can fall out. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ possible but very unlikely if installed correct in the first place
