The popular isn't always popular or at least wasn't always and won't be forever, regardless of how it seems now. Having said that, you could try to work out, which will give you some much needed confidence, which you seem to be lacking, though you shouldn't take a back seat to anyone for any reason. I say that practically any guy can get practically any girl if everything is done right (the right clothes, the right look, the right approach, the right conversatoin starter).
