In general terms, a Christian view of culture is a view that the customs, beliefs, and ethical 'dos and don'ts) of a society should be thoroughly informed by Christian Faith. In this view, what is believed, said, and done among members of the society in question is (or, ought to be) guided by a Christian perspective on what is appropriate and true for human life on earth.
In any society there is a functional entity called culture. Culture can be defined as a group of ways of life that are shared amongst the peoples of a society. Based on the different people groups that may occupy the same society there can be several cultures.With that said, in order for a society to function or even remain a society, there must be a shared set of meanings that are practiced in the material and symbolicareas of the society.Functionality in a society revolves around shared meanings and values in important areas such as, but not to exclude or include any of them to be present for the society to exist:A. Religion;B. Language;C. Family values;D. Gender issues; andE. Economics
