It is logic that so far you accepted to be Muslim you follow Islam teachings. Being a Muslim is a contract between Allah (or God in English anf same God in Judaism and Christianity) and yourself. You are required to follow the terms and conditions of this contract so far you are holding it. Otherwise, you are free to get the contract expired and to convert to another religion or to be atheist. Converting out of Islam is your own will and choice and one can blame you and the laws of any country never forbid you of that (despite the claims of some that you can't convert out of Islam otherwise you will be killed which is not true).

"O you who have believed (Muslims), obey Allah (or God and same God in Judaism and Christianity) and obey the Messenger (prophet Muhammad) and do not invalidate your deeds."
