The Latins settled in Rome and it became a name more important than any previous tribal identification.
Rome
The Romans did when they settled on the Appennine Pinninsula around 1000 B.C.
The Latin
you are obviously know the answer but made a pointless question but I'll answer it anyway. Rome exists because it is where people settled and it was once an empire.
The Etruscans, and later the Greeks.
Rome was initially settled by the Latin tribes and Etruscans.
The Latins settled in the area of Rome about 1000BC. They kept pigs, sheep, goats and cattle and followed in primitive existance
Saint Peter is believed to have lived in Babylon and Rome outside of his mission as an apostle. Traditionally, he is said to have settled in Rome, where he was eventually martyred.
The Trojan war was a long time before Rome was established.. in Greek mythology it was against the city of Troy by the Achaeans in the late Bronze Age.
Not like the one in Rome. The Romans built colosseums where they settled and lived so there are examples of them all over Europe. Most are smaller ( some in better condition) than the one in Rome, but the one in Rome is different than all the rest.
The foundation of Rome occurred through the Latins living on separate settlements on the seven hills of Rome deciding to unite under the rule of a king. The foundation of Rome was said to have also involved a fusion between the Latins as Sabines who settled on two of these hills. Rome was said to have been founded by Romulus, who was also its first king.
The hilly area where Rome was eventually formed was always settled. There is evidence that the settlements in the area go as far back as 14,000 year ago. As for the foundation of Rome, it was said to have involved the fusion of two groups, not three: Latins and Sabines. Rome was said to have been founded in 753 BC. The founding of Rome does not refer to the building of the city. It refers to the creation the Roman state. Romulus did not build Rome. He unified the peoples who lived on the settlements of the hills which were to become the Seven Hills of Rome under his rule. Collectively, these settlements became Rome. Romulus was the first king of Rome as well as the founder of the unification of the settlements. More precisely, Romulus unified the Septimontium, which were Latin settlements on seven spurs on three of the Seven Hills (the Palatine, the Esquiline and the Caelian) which were already interlinked before the foundation of the Roman state. Rome also included the Quirinal Hill and the Viminal Hill where Sabines settled after the abduction of the Sabine women. The story tells that the Romulus asked their Sabine neighbours to allow the Romans to marry their women because they were short of women. The Sabines refused and Romulus arranged for Sabine women to be kidnapped and married to Roman men. A Sabine king (Titus Tatius) attacked Rome to free them, but came to an amicable agreement. He and his Sabines then settled on the mentioned hills and Titus Tatius became co-king of Rome with Romulus for five year, until he died. The second and fourth kings of Rome were also Sabines.
