when you go on holiday you should give your pet to some one you trust like a family member or good friend. tell the person your leaving the pet with how much food and water they should give it and if need how often to clean it out. Don't give it extra food and water and then just leave him/her for a week.

You can leave your hamster at home for 2 - 3 days (give them extra food and water) but if you leave for more than 3 days give your hamster to a friend of family member you trust and knows some about hamsters.

∙ 12y agoA maximum of three days. The first day you go away you can feed it, leave it some food for the middle day and feed it the day you come home. The hamster is likely to eat the food given for the second day on the first day so really it should be two days, but it could just about manage three. If you are going away for longer than this it is important you give the hamster to a friend or a member of your family to look after.
