South Asia is the region that today includes the modern day countries of India, Bengladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan. There are two types of races that predominantly inhabit South Asia. They are the Indo-Aryans, which are the Indians, Bengalis, Pakistanis and Nepalese people. The Sri Lankans, are Austronesian people. Bhutanese people are Indo-Aryans but they speak Sino-Tibetan languages. Same with Pakistanis, they too are indo-Aryans but they speak Farsi, a standardized form of the Persian language spoken in Pakistan. Indo-Aryans, or Indians for the most part dominate much of South Asia. There are also some Turks and other ethnic groups living in Pakistan.
