It always amazes me that the second amendment it interpreted today as if it is still 1776. At that time the British didn't want anyone but their own troops to own guns. The Americans said otherwise. We are not living then but now. We don't have single shot muskets and pistols and most of us do not hunt and gut game for food.
Now we have rapid firing hand guns and multiple round assault rifles. I agree that guns should be available for sale but those who buy should pass various tests. Other countries have much stricter gun laws and also lower homicides rates (not just for using a gun). If we don't allow certain people to fly and they are on a 'no fly' list, why can they buy guns? Why don't people who have guns secure them properly? If the idea of having a gun is so important, then there should be safety concerns addressed. We do have to wear seat belts and can't drive 'buzzed'.
People that want to control other people.

Depends on WHICH gun control legislation you mean. In the US, there are already several thousand "gun control" laws on the books. However, they do not work. They DO keep honest people from being able to defend themselves from criminals.

None. Professional criminals and anyone who wants to commit a crime with a gun will still have easy access while the average citizen will be denied. It is one sided.
The stated purpose is to "keep guns out of the wrong hands". It rarely works.
It started with people wanting to keep guns away from Indians and slaves.
The right to keep guns is important because if you have a gun you can protect your self if you can not protect your self you can get fatally hurt.
If you are "pro" in the gun control debate, you are for less gun control. In other words, you are "pro-gun".
There is no "gun control" amendment.
