Whose grandson bought Ellensbrook?
Alfred and Ellen Bussell began Ellensbrook homestead in 1857, but moved to another property in 1865 and Ellensbrook was run by their daughters Fanny and Edith. By the 1920s sand drift had overtaken much of the land and by the 1940s the homestead was unoccupied and derelict. In 1950 Lennox Terry grandson of Alf and Ellen bought the property and began to improve it, however was unable to afford this and sold Ellensbrook in 1956.
