Some of the primary military leaders were: GENERAL's Maxwell Taylor, Harkins, Westmoreland, and Abrams. Some of the lesser known famous men in Vietnam were: GEN James Stewart (actor Jimmy Stewart), Glen Ford (actor, USNR), John Wayne (actor, filmed the first positive movie about Vietnam in order to support the troops, with the film, "The Green Berets"), COL George S. Patton (son of WWII George S. Patton). The remaining US Military personnel in Vietnam, were the common, standard, normal American young men, usually from about 18 years old to their late 20's.
