There was a conspiracy against the third Rightful Caliph Hazrat Usman (RAU). His house was besieged. The rioters/traitors had virtually besieged Madina Munwara. There was also a threat to the life of the beloved Mother of Momineen Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqa (RAU). She went to Makka to perform Hajj. (Refer to Al Badaya Wunnahaya - Tarikh Ibn-i-Kaseer Vol: 7)
