Well, deleting the EGR system is more or less associated with people trying to clean up their engine bays for a "simplier" look. In my experience, no horsepower gains are attributed to the removal of the EGR system. Of course, each automobile will react differently, but a majority of them will not be affected one way or another. Don't get caught removing an EGR system in certain states that require the system for Emissions Testing.
how can i delete a egr vavle on 1997 ford f350 with electronic fuel injection, its a7.5 gas 460
Did you delete the code? After you fix the problem you have to connect the computer back and delete the code. If you dont the code will still pop up
Dpf and egr delete with h&s about 600Km
It all depends on the production date of your Maxima. Federal emission Maxima 06-2000- 06-2001 are EGR delete.
My F-250 6.0 liter is running rough when it is cold then smooths out after it is warmed up. At first start it starts fine and idles fine but won't take a load when it cold and doesn;t shift well until the engine is warmed up. I have taken off the EGR valve and cleaned it. When I took off the EGR valve it was full of soot but not wet. I cleaned the EGR unit and installed the EGR back in and truck ran better for a while like 50 miles or so, then truck started running rough again when cold. Gray smoke comes out of the exhaust when cold and and while warming up. Will an EGR delete cure my problem and do I need to also delete the EGR cooler?
It's illegal to use red dyed off-road diesel for on-road use, and the black smoke will give you away.
EGR Deactivated ( Plugged? ) NOX exceeds allowable spec. NOX are Oxides of Nitrogen and nasty smog causing junk. Common for this year to plug the EGR cooler or have an EGR failure. This is also one of the codes you run into if you don't do your emissions delete correctly.
It does not have EGR.It does not have EGR.
The EGR sensor is part of the EGR valve on the rear pass side of the engine. The EGR sensor is part of the EGR valve on the rear pass side of the engine.
It doesn't have an Egr valve. It doesn't have an Egr valve.
Depends on what its on. Most of the time that code indicates your EGR valve is bad and needs to be replaced. If its on a diesel engine, there is also a procedure call an "EGR delete" that will actually increase your horsepower and fuel efficiency. But your emissions might not pass e-check ???
Plugged EGR passage which restricts the flow of exhaust gasses, faulty EGR solenoid, faulty EGR solenoid wiring/harness, vacuum lines damaged or disconnected to the EGR valve solenoid or to the EGR valve, or a faulty EGR valve.
