He thought they were subhumans, worthy only of being slaves to his master race. Basically he didn't like that Slavs were different, except being such a violent person he took his prejudice way too far. It's really upsetting, the estimates of Slavs he killed in concentration camps exceeds five million, and when six million Jews were also killed in comparison, it make you wonder why all of these people have been hushed over and forgotten?
Also Hitler used this as a justification for taking over Poland, and most of the Jews he killed spoke Polish and were Polish citizens, albeit not Poles by ethnicity. Hitler wanted Poland as lebensraum, aka living room, for the Aryan race. Like a sick version of manifest destiny.
This hatred is also why Hitler invaded the Soviet Union, now hailed as the grandest mistake he could have made. Hitler knew he would lose. The Soviet Union held the majority then of the world's Slavs, he wanted to kill them all even if it meant losing the war. That's why Russia still celebrates victory day of the Great Patriotic War in May, to commemorate the defeat of the most evil regime ever to exist. The whole world should celebrate this!
I found a picture on Wikipedia, of Germans proudly preparing to kill some poor Russian men in a concentration camp. (I don't know how to post pictures, and I forgot the link...) The two men are kneeling above a pit full of corpses, sobbing, and the Germans are sneering and cruelly pressing handguns into the back of their heads. It's truly sick. Although in not nearly as extreme a way, Germans today still harbor prejudices against Poles, like they are all lying stealers.

Hitler had Slavs in his inner circle. If you research properly, you'll find this to be the case. He didn't feel they were subhuman. He only targeted Slavs who held communist or liberal views. However, he shouldn't have targeted anyone.
"Like a sick version of manifest destiny."
Because manifest destiny was perfectly healthy.
The German and Slavic ethnic groups have, in general, thought poorly of each other for centuries. Hitler participated in that general distaste.
