Sacrifice is "GIVING." It's selflessness... thinking of someone other than yourself. It's the ultimate show of love for others, at all cost to oneself.

The selflessness of sacrifice is the one big lesson mankind needs to learn in order to "live together in harmony -- for ALL ETERNITY, once man is finally born into the Divine Immortal Family of God.

It's the one big lesson that the nature of selfish flesh resists with a passion; and the cause of all the world's misery and suffering. Selfish flesh: the opposite of sacrifice; envy, jealousy, lust and greed -- the enemies of love.

God is letting mankind [created in His image to one day be born into His Family] experience these negative emotions [spirit] and the manifestation of their sinful works, in order for man to one day "choose" which way he prefers -- to wallow in evil and wickedness, rebellious to everything God stands for. Or to "reject it" and seek the salvation of his Creator, to blot out all of his sins that He might save him from sin's "wages;" death.

Learning to "sacrifice" is "learning how to Love."

And unless men learn how to Love one another [and his Creator: NOT in that order]... he will not be granted God's Gift of Eternal Life. And most people would agree that Life [especially the prospective Divine Gift of Eternal Life; the Future God has planned for His creation... His Children] is very important.
