Martin Luther King Jr. was important because he tried to put an end on Slavery. He wanted people to be treated the same way. He wanted people to be mixed and not separated from African-Americans to Whites. He wanted people to be free like a butterfly and be able to go ANYWHERE they wanted and be treated fairly. He also wanted his little four children not to be judged of their skin but by their character and it finally came true thanks to him.James Earl Ray killed Martin Luther King Jr. His wife Coretta Scott passed away January 30, 2006.
