Many reasons. First, lions are bold hunters of open plains habitats, and during the British rule, many army officers hunted them for sport. Lions, living in prides, often had many killed at one time by these ruthless hunters. Another reason may be a natural one. Lions once ranged over most of the Indian subcontinent. The tiger, a fairly recent migrant to Southern Asia from the north, may have been the containing factor. Lions slowly gave ground to this more active, larger predator. There was no large predator in Africa to prevent lions from penetrating to the Cape, and large areas of dry, barren land halted the expansion of the tiger, which requires more water and cover than the lion. Although no real signifigance can be drawn from the fact that, under artificial conditions in captivity, a tiger usually can defeat a lion, Singh noted that roaring of lions in zoos often attracted the wild resident tigers, and three released lions were almost certainly killed by them.
In Iran and other countries, lions were considered vermin and man killers, and were hunted to extinction.
Today, 350 Asiatic lions remain in India's Gir Forest, the last of a once widespread lion subspecies.
Asiatic cheetahs are the same species as other cheetahs, but they are a different subspecies. They live in Asia and that is about it.
If your talking about all Lions and Wolves, other than just a particular species, there would be more wolves, as Lions are endangered, not that wolves aren't, Lions are just more endangered.
Currently there are only two species/breeds of lions that are alive. They are the African Lion and the Asiatic Lion. Other species of Lions like the European Lion, the American Cave Lion and the Barbary Lion were all hunted to extinction centuries ago. As of now, all lion species are endangered. The Asiatic Lion is critically endangered with only a few hundred species left in the wild.
Yes.I think Asian elephants are more endangered, though.
African elephants may be more than twice as heavy as Asian elephants. Also an African elephant has much bigger ears then the Asian elephant. Some people distinguish African elephants into bush and forest varieties, and the forest ones are not as big.
African loins endangered because peopole are killing them and they don't have no more habitat
hyaena's get eatan by humans and lions
The African is not endangered, but threatened, the Asiatic lion is endangered.yes a loin is an endangerd specieThe Asiatic lion is endangered, but the African is considered "Threatened".
Not quite. While they can come from the same continent, their genetics are different from African Lions. They're generally smaller, weaker and have different personalities and sometimes appear to have higher infant mortality rates. They're also a lot more endangered than the African Lion, possibly the most endangered big cat of them all.
Both Asian and African elephants are large herbivores with similar social structures, long gestation periods, and high levels of intelligence. They are both endangered due to habitat loss and poaching. However, Asian elephants are smaller with smaller ears, and they have a smoother trunk with one finger-like projection at the end, while African elephants have two.
because there were not alwoded to go to African any more
because if there were more Lions then they would eat all the Gazelles then die out
