Another way of saying east and west is the Orient and the Occident. Since Asia is to the east of Europe, Europeans (and North Americans who are descended from European colonists) often refer to Asians as orientals, meaning people who come from the Orient.

What is the difference between Asian and oriental geographically and racially?

Asian refers to people, places, and things from the Asian Continent, from Turkey to the Middle East, India, China, Mongolia, parts of Russia such as Siberia, and the south-east Asian countries such as Burma, Cambodia, Korea, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam. Oriental refers to people, places, and things to the East of the Asian Continent, such as Japan, the Philipines, and Indonesian islands. Racially one can easily distinguish the people by their slanted eyes, that is not common in the south-east Asian countries, e.g. in Thailand or in Indonesia.

What is the difference between oriental and Asian?

Asian simply means an ethnicity from the continent of Asia. Oriental means someone of an ethnicity of the Orient, like China, Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, Korea, etc. The term "oriental" is frowned upon in Canada, USA and Australia as offensive, so such people tend to use "Asian" to refer to them in sometimes their close relatives like the Polynesians and even Amerindians. In the UK, "Asian" means someone from South Asia (like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, etc.), and the term "oriental" is not viewed as offensive.

Who are Asians. should other then a oriential Asians be called Asians?

An Asian is person coming from an ethnicity endemic to Asia. Non-Orientals can be considered Asians if their ethnicity is endemic to Asia. For example, Indians are endemic to Asia, and while they are not orientals, they are certainly Asian. The reason why Americans use Asian instead of Oriental is because the word Oriental is offensive in the US.
