The horns are sold on the black market for use in "Traditional Chinese Medicine", and for knife and dagger handles of the Middle East, called "jambiyas". The horn is made of "keratin", much like thickly matted hair, or the same thing that fingernails, hair, hooves, and claws are, it just grows into the shape of a horn.
