its not so much why did they choose to come live in the united states, understand that the Mexicans owned part of the united states so they were already here. i cant tell you exact dates nor the name of battles just a short partial answer.
- The Mexicans have been coming over here to do the jobs Americans didn't want to do. Look at where they are working, its not exactly the best job. We look down on the jobs they do. They are just happy to have a job. And they do it for cheaper. What person in their right mind would hire a less of a hark working person for more money than a very hard worker for less? I am not saying all Americans are lazy, nor that all Mexicans have excellent work ethic, but most of the time that is the way it seems. - If you lived in Mexico, with a million people in the same situation as you [No heavy education, same poor living conditions, large family to provide for, etc.] I think you would chose to live in the US, too. There is always the opportunity of finding a job that won't require you to have a minimum Pre-Calculus mathematics level or a Computer Design class somewhere in your resume. [in the US] When you need the money you settle for what you can get instead of just not doing anything at all. It's not really a choice or a wish, it's the need.
Can you imagine a world without Mexicans. Probably not most Mexicans do the work that Americans don't want to do. Or what you would call the dirty jobs. And no it is not what you are thinking what i mean is that they do hard work.
The reasons vary, but some reasons are listed below. It's important to note that not every Mexican wants to live in the United States. As the economy grows, so do the opportunities, so most rather to stay in Mexico. With that said, the following only applies to a mere minority going through extreme cases.
1. Their families live there, and they want to live near them. Note that several states like Texas, Arizona, California etc. were part of Mexico in the past, so a lot of Mexicans families were separated, and some still are today.
2. For better job opportunities. Even though the Mexican economy continues to grow, some people aren't lucky enough to get good jobs so they immigrate to the US either legally or illegally depending on how rough their situation is, and send money back home.
3. Better education for their children. A lot of Mexicans believe that if their children go to school in the United States, they will have a lot more opportunities than back home.
4. Violence. Some people are threatened by violent acts from gangs or corrupted Mexican police so they run to the US in search for a better and safer life.
Migrant workers come to America to work. Migrant workers can get a salary and a place to live in exchange for their hard work.

The mexicans?
Mexicans should not be banned from America, unless they travel illegally. Mexicans are allowed to travel to any countries if they are not doing illegally. I am also Mexican and think that banning us Mexicans from the US and Donald Trump's wall are a bad idea.
