Actually Turkey is not an Islamic state despite many Muslims living there. Officially the Turkish government is secular - with no religion.
Actually there are many countries that are predominantly Muslim and welcome Christian visitors. Many African countries welcome, for example, British tourists with little problem. However, some countries have more fundamentalistl leaders who believe that any fraternisation or contact with Christians may dilute or even 'contaminate' the Muslim, and therefore Chritians and any spread of the Gospel are not tolerated. Sadly, there are some people in so-called Christian countries that behave the same way against Muslims, branding them all as terrorists or anti-women, which is totally without substance and unfair.

∙ 10y agoIslam does not prohibit children from playing with children of other religions. Some parents of whatever religious faith may choose not to allow their children to play with children of different religions.

Tourism
If it is asking about tourism, then it would be incorrect to say that Christians are unwelcome in Muslim countries. Muslims realize that most tourists come from Western lands and have accepted that in this global economy, they must cater to all interests.
Evangelism
When it comes to to individuals who intend to live in the Islamic World or intend to perform missionary work, then the welcome mat is withdrawn. Like much of the Old World, Immigration is seen negatively in the Islamic World and a way to weaken the dominant ethnic groups. Additionally, Muslims consider Christianity to be the "wrong" religion in the Muslim world. While it is acceptable for Europeans or Americans to be Christian, that is because they live in Europe or America. It is not "proper" for Arabs, South Asians, Indonesians, etc. to be Christian because they live in Islamic Countries. Christian missionaries are reviled for this reason most of all as they are seen to be attempting to alter the societal balance. Of course, many Muslims support Islamic missionary work in Europe and other regions which shows an unbalanced approach in this regard.
Indigenous Christians
When it comes to indigenous Christians who already do live there, they are often subject to unfair laws or unfair application of laws against their interest. These laws are a societal holdover from the Islamic Caliphates which used societal and economic burdens to facilitate conversion from other religions to Islam. The thought-pattern, namely that everyone in the world or at least the Islamic countries should become Muslim without forcible conversion, remains, but the use of coercive economic and social tactics are seen as permissible in helping to sway opinions. These tactics have resulted in numerous Lebanese Maronites and Egyptian Copts leaving the Middle East for more tolerant countries.
Turkey Specifically
As to the Turkish issue mentioned in the Community Answer, the Armenian Genocide of 1915-1917 and the Greco-Turkish population swaps of 1923 effectively eviscerated the Christian minority in Turkey. The few Christians still living in Turkey are merely a rounding error at this point (<0.1% of the Turkish population).
