Fruits and vegetables are healthy because they are considered "nutrient dense". This means that they are packed full of vitamins and minerals that our bodies need to grow and function properly, but they are very low in calories. Vitamins and minerals affect your body in many different ways from eyesight to heart health and even affect you physical appearance such as the prevention of acne.

Vegetables - They provide you with some of the vital vitamins that are needed in your body. Lack of these can cause lot's of health problems.

Fruits - They provide fibre and some vitamins and minerals essential to good health.
