Russia has some very controversial anti-gay Propaganda laws.
Sochi in particular is very well known for its huge anti-gay population, where homosexuals, both male and female, are openly assaulted on the streets. Law enforcement will very rarely respond to anti-gay assaults.
The Russians hinted to the world to remember their anti-gay laws during their opening ceremony. As a result, many international groups are planning pro-gay protests all over Russia and many large corporations have hit back at Russia. Chevrolet for example have advertised the Olympics by featuring a gay couple in their TV advert. Google has uploaded an image on their front page featuring Olympic athletes on a rainbow background (the international symbol of gay pride).
Many homosexual and heterosexual people all over the world are boycotting the Russian Olympics because of Russia's anti-gay laws and of Russia reminding people of the laws during the opening ceremony.
Sexual orientation is not a factor in who can and cannot participate in any Olympic competition. There is nothing stopping them from participating and I'm sure there were many athletes competing.
In light of the Russian anti-gay laws and due to Russia "warning" people of the anti-gay laws during the Olympic opening ceremony, some major corporations have hit back at Russia.Google is one of those major corporations. Google hit back by changing the Google banner into an image of Olympic athletes on a rainbow background (the gay pride colours). The image was uploaded onto every single Google domain, including Google.ru, the Russian domain. You can see the banners, which Google calls "Doodles", by clicking here.
The openly gay equivalent to the Olympics are the Gay Games. Started in 1982, the Gay Games are held every four years like they Olympics. The first games were in San Fransisco, and the most recent games were held in Chicago in 2006. Gay Games VIII will be held in 2010 in Cologne, Germany. Travieso moved to california with his mom and is now attending independant studies & sochi got killed in his barrio IVU & duke is now offically gay
yes
You can meet gay people but you can't "get" gay people.
As far as I know, PepsiCo (or the Pepsi Cola Company) is not actively encouraging anyone to get married, whether to someone of the same or opposite gender. There is some chatter I was able to find on the Internet about anti-marriage groups boycotting Pepsi because of its support of "The Gay Agenda." Speaking as a gay person, though, if Pepsi is supportive of gay people, that news has yet to reach the gay community. FYI, the "Gay Agenda" is this: (1) Equality; (2) See Goal #1.
Claiming the Title Gay Olympics on Trial - 2009 was released on: USA: 23 June 2009 (Palm Springs International Festival of Shorts)
Yes, gay people are actually gay.
Yes, very gay they are so gay that they eat gay people haters
well, gay people are still around so your question should be- what ARE gay people, and gay people are people who like people of the same gender.
Gay people have their own interests and should not force them on others.
