Best Answer

They keep a person from slamming into the steering wheel/dash in case of an accident. They'll also help a person remain inside the car if windows would break and the car tumbles. Being ejected from a vehicle usually means worse damages than those sustained by people remaining in the vehicle.

Wearing seat belts is crucial for personal safety while driving. Seat belts are the most effective way to reduce the risk of injury or death in a car accident. They prevent occupants from being ejected from the vehicle and minimize the impact of a collision on the body. By increasing the likelihood of surviving a crash, seat belts not only protect the driver and passengers but also reduce the burden on emergency services and healthcare systems. Moreover, wearing seat belts sets a positive example for others, especially children and young drivers, who may model their behavior after adults. It also demonstrates responsible and law-abiding behavior, contributing to a culture of safety on the roads. Additionally, laws mandating seat belt use are in place in most jurisdictions, and failure to comply can result in fines or penalties. By obeying these laws, individuals not only avoid legal consequences but also show respect for the rules that are designed to protect them and others. Furthermore, seat belts are a simple and convenient safety measure that require minimal effort to use. Can you safely put a car seat in a older volkswagen bus?

Depends, I put new 3 point seat belts in the front of my 69 Westy, the rear seat belts on the rock and roll bed are a bit short for some car seats, but there are aftermarket seat belts available to make it a bit more standard. I would say yes, that's it's perfectly safe as long as the belts are good and fasten in their designed purpose.
