Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Libya, Bosnia, Kosovo, etc. are blips in the news. Here today, gone tomorrow. No cities being bombed into ruins (by high altitude heavy bombers), no vast numbers of flag draped aluminum coffins arriving daily as they did from Vietnam.
