However, WikiAnswers has begun to evolve into a more community-driven, social Q&A site. Some features of WikiAnswers have become private for only one (specific) registered user to have access to edit, such as their own profile. As WikiAnswers continues to turn more towards community, more things will be privately accessible by the registered user, and not open to the entire public - one of which may eventually be the private message boards.
At the moment there is no private message system, but we are looking into revamping Message Boards.
If you mean the email address of other WikiAnswers contributors, then you have to ask them on their message board. Just keep in mind that the message boards are not private; anyone can read them.
Yes. Message boards are public and anyone can see them.
No there are no avatars for message boards yet

Yes, you can put a message on anyone else's message board. Just keep in mind the message boards are not private, so don't post anything you wouldn't want others to read, or profanity of any kind. Also, don't post private info about yourself or others, such as addresses, phone numbers, etc.
On message boards, a sticky message is a message that cannot be replied to or deleted.
In online forums and message boards the acronym OT is usually short for "off topic."
The message boards are a way of communication between members of this website if they need to discuss or talk about anything.Although the site is not a chatting website, people are welcomed to use the message boards to contact and chat with other members. It's a great way to get to know the other people on the site and talk about common interests, or things that you are doing in the community.Message boards aren't for questions and answers, though. That is what the rest of WikiAnswers is there for!!It's also important to remember that message boards here are public. This means that anyone on the site can see what you write on them. But most important of all, remember to never give out any personal or private information. Things like full names, email addressed, phone numbers, home addresses etc, should never ever be shared on public message boards. Even on private chats, it's never a good idea to share your personal information with people you do not know, no matter how friendly they seem.Chatting on the Answers.com message boards must always be polite and respectful. Abuse or insults will be classed as cyberbullying which can lead to people being blocked from the site.Anyone using the message boards to spam, cyberbully, or harrass other users may be warned, and their accounts suspended.
On WikiAnswers, you cannot make your message board private. The message board is available for viewing by anyone on WikiAnswers. When you write a message, this little message appears below the box you type in:"This page isn't private. Although this is for messages to [user], anyone can read what's here. Also, this space isn't for asking questions. That's what the rest of WikiAnswers is for!"
It's helpful to spend time perusing through Internet message boards and forums that relate to children's writing. There are a plethora of message boards and forums available concerning writing. However, most of these message boards focus on writing for adults. If you want a message board that focuses specifically on writing for children then check out the following message boards. Some of these message boards are part of organizations that you have to join while other boards will let you register for free. 1. www.scbwi.org You must be a member of SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) in order to use the message boards in any manner. You can't even read them unless you are a member. That is why I encourage you to check about becoming a member. I am and have found SCBWI to be helpful in so many ways. The message boards are very active with both published and not-yet-published authors and illustrators. 2. www.verlakay.com This is "Verla Kay's Website for Children's Writers and Illustrators". This message board is free to read without registering. If you want to post you can register for free. There are so many great pages to check out, but click on the Forums & Links link for the message boards. 3. www.write4kids.com This website contains a vast amount of information on children's writing plus free message boards. The message boards aren't quite as organized, but they are still useful and interesting.
