Why are there black people white people tan people and olive people when we all go back to Adam and Eve shouldn't we be the same color?

when God mixed up our languages at the tower of babel, people spread. they had to adapt to their different temperatures, so some were probably born with lighter/darker pigmentation to cope. however The Bible doesn't have prejudices, and doesn't mention what colour Adam and Eve were in the first place.
