Why are there no fat Lego people?

Because Lego is not reality, it's a toy for children. Fat is not desirable - who would want to buy a toy that was "fat"? A "fat" Barbie, or a "fat" GI Joe? Toys should not have to mirror reality to every single minor degree. It's the equivalent of asking "why are there no Lego people with Down Syndrome?" Toys don't need to be politically correct, and that's a good thing. Lego is a great toy for children with great imaginations. There is no place for adult thinking, sensibility or political correctness for our children. Children can look to the real world to see real people to understand the beauty of difference and diversity. We don't need to ram diversity down our children's throats in their hour of freedom, play and imagination.
